TFM copper cobalt ore mixed ore project is constructed by CMOC with an investment of 2.51 billion US dollars. In the future, it is estimated that the average annual output of new copper is about 200000 tons and that of new cobalt is about 17000 tons. CMOC indirectly holds 80% equity in TFM copper cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
TFM copper cobalt mine has six mining rights, with a mining area of more than 1500 square kilometers. It is one of the copper and cobalt minerals with the largest reserves and the highest grade in the world, and has great resource development potential.
CMOC will start a new cobalt production line in DRC in 2023, doubling the company's local cobalt production. CMOC expects to produce 34000 tons of cobalt in DRC in 2023 alone. Although the existing projects to be put into operation will promote the growth of cobalt production, the cobalt price will still be on the upward track because the demand will also accelerate at the same time.
