In 2017, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced to the world that a new city called NEOM would be built.
NEOM is located on the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia, facing Egypt and across the Red Sea. It covers an area of 26,500 square kilometers and includes residential areas, port areas, commercial enterprise areas, and scientific research institution areas.
10 new camp will be built in NEOM. The main purpose is to accommodate the growing local workforce. Once the first phase is completed, 95,000 residents can be introduced.
In addition to providing basic residential services, the community also includes various living facilities, such as multi-purpose sports fields, cricket courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, swimming pools and entertainment venues.
As for the temporary shelter required during the construction of NEOM, it will be built in a sustainable manner using removable modular buildings that can be reused in the future.
